Hi and thanks for stopping by my name’s Vanessa. I enjoy the creative aspect that comes with developing media products as well as helping young people realise their own creativity. Whilst at university I studied broadcast media and communication where I developed my understanding of media, the media industry and media production. I have worked within the media industry since leaving university as a freelance videographer gaining over 17 years production experience which has equipped me with an in-depth understanding of media as an industry and subject.

As a Media tutor/lecturer, I enjoy working with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs, I love to teach and inspire. Our sessions will be an opportunity for you to develop your media understanding further reinforcing what you may already know and giving you the opportunity to develop the areas you may be slightly unsure about.
To achieve the maximum benefit from our sessions we will work closely with the topics/ units you may be studying at school/ college or university putting together a plan of work to mirror the areas you are currently focusing on. This will help to reinforce your understanding enabling you to integrate it further into your work to ensure that you achieve your very best.

I will work with you at a pace that feels comfortable but will also help you to achieve your potential!

Availability: One to one sessions:
Monday to Friday 5pm - 8pm
Saturday 12pm -6pm
Sunday 12pm - 4:30pm

Experience: A fully qualified media studies lecturer with over 14 years teaching experience, having taught media studies at secondary level GCSE/BTEC, within further education Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and supporting Higher education Degree and Master’s students.
