Information about Neil
Qualified maths teacher. I have over 10 years experience teaching students doing GCSE and Functional Skills Maths at a leading London college. I also have experience teaching ESOL, so I am used to supporting students for whom English is not their first language.
I tutor children who need help with their Maths: I can help students to better work on the basic skills, as well as pushing them towards higher grades (I can teach both foundation and higher tier GCSE). I can also work with students to go through anything from school that they still have difficulty understanding or need further help with.
I supply all resources/worksheets except the usual stationary: blank grided exercise book, A4 pad, pen/pencil/rubber, scientific calculator & geometry set (students are expected to provide these).
I set and encourage students to complete additional homework, which is then followed up in future lessons.
Availability: I am available most evenings during the week (Mon-Fri), generally starting from 5.30pm to 6pm. Presently I can also help with online learning, via Google Meet, Zoom or MS Teams.
I can travel to your house to tutor your child..
I am normally available only during term time, but might be available outside this if I am free (morning/afternoons).
I am also available to do small group sessions for a reduced rate..booked through website. Please enquire for rates.

Neil was preparing my son for his GCSE maths exams. From our experience, he consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and dedication to his work. Firstly, he was always punctual and reliable, arriving promptly for every lesson and ensuring that the full time allocated for the session was utilised effectively. My son has so far had weekly (three lessons) online with Neil. We have both found him very attentive and patient when explaining areas that my son is struggling with in the maths GCSE curriculum. Neil has given advice for web apps to use and help with learning and revision, for the chosen topics that he needs to improve on.
