Hi! My name is Anahita, and I have completed a degree in BSc Hons Biological Sciences (Microbiology and Infectious Disease) at the University of Exeter. I have a strong background in IB Biology, English and French. I have always been passionate about science, and it is a subject I particularly enjoy teaching. I am currently teaching GCSE Science to students, and really enjoying this opportunity.

Experience: 2018-Current Medical Admissions Tutor
I have been privately tutoring one student with her medical application. This requires me to train her in the UKCAT, GAMSAT and BMAT.
I also helped a student with her medical personal statement and multiple mini interview preparation and she was successful in her application.

2017-Current GCSE/A-Level Science & Maths Tutor
I have extensive experience privately tutoring 12 students in GCSE Edexcel, AQA, OCR and iGCSE Edexcel: Physics (70 hours) Biology (70 hours), Chemistry (70 hours) and Maths (50 hours). One of my students went from an average of 70% in the sciences, up to 90%. My tutees and parents have been pleased with my efforts and given positive feedback.
I engage with my students and attempt to make topics interesting for them by showing them the relevance of these topics in everyday life.
I have also tutored 2 A-level students in Biology and Chemistry.

2017-Current GCSE/A-Level English & French Tutor
I privately tutored 4 students in GCSE English Literature and French (total 150 hours). I learnt French for 14 years and obtained high marks at school, allowing me to tutor this subject efficiently at both GCSE and A-level

Jan 2018 11+ Admissions Tutor
I tutored a student extensively for her 11+ exams. This required teaching Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. The student performed extremely well and was accepted by the school of her choice.

August 2015 Voluntary Biology Tutor, Tutorfair
Over the summer, I tutored a group of students entering their first year of A-levels as part of the Summer Slide Programme, to keep them academically focused in Biology.
