Information about Zara

I attended Newstead Wood School for Girls in Orpington and achieved A*-A in Maths, English and Triple Science and finished GCSEs with 3 A*s, 5 A`s and 3 B`s. For A-levels, I studied Biology, Economics, Classical Civilisation and Philosophy & Ethics and have a BSc in Criminology.

Upon graduating from the University of Southampton I have returned to the Bromley area and now currently tutor 15 students. My students vary from 8 years old to 18 years old and have all shown improvements in confidence, self-motivation and results. As I have tutored students for 4 years now, I appreciate that every student is different and should be treated as such. For myself, I enjoy creating a bond with my students and have a genuine interest and investment in their success. A majority of my free time is spent marking papers, making lesson plans and reviewing content, however, this is worth the effort tenfold when I witness my students reaping the benefits.

I am part of a wide network of local tutors, many of which are long term friends of mine. This allows access to a wealth of knowledge and resources which frequently improves my technique.

Availability: My availability is flexible and I can accommodate various schedules as I have a car. However, due to the current situation, I am now providing online lessons.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have previously tutored many students in a variety of subjects including A-level Economics, English, Maths and Science for all ages, SATs and 11+/secondary school entry tests such as verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

I have also previously worked at a primary school for children with disabilities and have many students with learning impairments. This allows me to learn a variety of teaching methods based on the requirements of each specific student. I am also first aid trained for added reassurance!

Lastly, I hope to improve and learn just as much from my students as they learn from me.

Although Zara did not tutor me for long (due to my exams being cancelled), she provided a relaxed and friendly environment for me to grow in confidence and improve my learning. Thank you!

Great teacher! She is friendly and makes it very easy to ask questions. Great resources at hand and knows her economics syllabus very well.

Zara is a very reliable tutor. Although my daughter only had a handful of lessons (Science GCSE) with her already feels much confident on the subject.
