Information about Boram
Hi everyone, I`m a passionate Korean tutor who can help you to improve your Korean. I have rich experience in teaching Korean as I`ve been teaching since 2009, helping various students achieve their goal. The range of my students varies from secondary school students to adult learners. The aim of my Korean class is to spread the beauty of the Korean language at a reasonable tuition fee, and help my students maximise their ability to use Korean. I have a BA degree in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language and the official certificate of Korean teacher given by the National Institute of Korean Language.
I always aim at providing structured lessons which focus on improving all 4 sections of Korean (speaking, listening, reading and writing) as well as a tailored lesson based on each student`s strength and weakness. You will end up obtaining fluency, accuracy and confidence in using Korean.
Availability: I am available anytime in weekdays and on Saturday. As I`m quite flexible, please let me know your availability. I will try to fit into your schedule.

Experience: I have a variety of experience in teaching since 2009. I had an opportunity to be a Korean tutor in a Sixth form college in London in 2017, teaching students aged 16 to 17. I`m teaching students who want to learn Korean as a hobby but also who want to apply for universities in South Korea or need to use Korean for work.
** For online lesson, students don`t need to worry about preparing a textbook. I will provide a PDF file plus extra study materials for each lesson. All these materials have been revised from either The National Institute of Korean Language or Universities in Korea.

I have been learning with Boram for almost a year now and my Korean has been steadily improving the whole time. Before these classes, I struggled with speaking confidence and applying my vocab from Duolingo etc. into real world situations but I now find myself able to talk with family and friends more deeply. The lessons are very well paced, and just the right level of challenging where I’m stretched but not demoralised! Boram also takes the time to customise the lessons to my strengths and weaknesses, and to answer any of the in-depth questions I have. Boram is a really exceptional tutor who has made advancing my Korean really fun and exciting as an adult! I was hesistant about getting lessons whilst working as I thought it might be stressful but Boram makes sure to make the lesson engaging and interactive. I always look forward to them and feel that she prepares the lessons very well. In a few months I feel like I am much more confident at reading and listening to Korean and I`m excited to see my progress going forward. I`m very glad I chose Boram as my tutor!
