Information about Constance
Hello, my name is Connie and I am a keen lover of Literature. I purposefully chose a career as an English Teacher so that I could continue to explore the power of books, stories and language and instill this same passion in the students that I teach.
I graduated University in 2015 and after that I spent the year in Japan, teaching English as a second language to students. It was during this time that I realised my love for teaching. I returned back to England in 2016 to begin my PGCE. Since then I have worked in two schools, with many students from various backgrounds and varying abilities. In my first year as a qualified teacher, my class passed with flying colours. Six students out of 29 were awarded level nines, with the vast majority of the rest of the class attaining level sevens and level eights. The following year, my English Literature and Language A level exam group were the most successful A level class in the whole of the school`s sixth form. I pour my heart and soul into my students and this dedication is reflected in their excellent results.
Currently, I am halfway through a Masters degree in English Literature at The University of Sheffield. As my knowledge of this subject that I love continues to grow, so does the knowledge of my students. All that I am learning - and I am learning every day - is passed down by myself to my students with the hope that they too will develop their written communication, their analytical skills and their knowledge of English Language and Literature.
As a tutor, I will plan specialised sessions based upon the individual needs of my tutee. All sessions will be differentiated according to the texts that the tutee is studying, their specific educational needs and planned in such a way that their desired results can be achieved.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to hearing from you!
