I am very patient and give students lots of praise to increase their confidence and self-esteem. In 20+ years of teaching, I’ve encountered children with a variety of skills, abilities and needs to which I employ different approaches to suit their learning.
I really enjoy teaching and seeing a positive impact that I have on children’s development, seeing them grow and flourish in their learning. I aim to boost their confidence and self-esteem, encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Availability: I am available during school hours and evenings.

Experience: I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with 20+ years experience of teaching children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I have been a class teacher in various year groups and SENCO for 15+ years and have experience of working with Looked After Children and pupils with a range of additional needs. I now tutor children in a range of primary level subjects - phonics, reading, writing, spelling, maths, science, history. As well as helping children with boosting their confidence and ability levels in these subjects, I currently tutor students to aid with the KS1 and KS2 SATs, Y1 phonics screening and 11+ entrance exam.
