I am extremely familiar with the English syllabus, both Language and Literature; I hope to impart my expert knowledge onto students of various abilities. I especially love writing stories and encourage my students to read various texts and to practise different forms of writing (e.g. letters, newspaper articles, speeches and descri ptive writing).
With a mother who graduated in Mathematics and a father in Engineering, it is no wonder that I have had a good grounding in numeracy from an early age and am passionate about making sure that my maths students understand and confidently solve numerical problems.
Born in Canada, I also have a special place for the French language and find it a joy to teach it.

Availability: I provide tuition at my home which is located between [contact detail removed]. I tutor at weekends and during August, I also tutor on weekdays. For GCSE students going into Year 11 in September, I also offer 90 minute tuition sessions. I can provide longer sessions for KS3 students too, who would like tuition in more than 1 subject. For current Year 5 students sitting the 11+ tests this Autumn, I recommend 2 sessions per week over the Summer vacation. There are NO one-off fees to pay to Tutor Hunt when booking tuition with ME. The cost you see, already includes Tutor Hunt`s commission. Thus, if you would like just one tuition session, then you pay Tutor Hunt for that session;; they will then keep their commission and forward me a lesser amount. You can book more sessions, once you have met me, are satisfied with my tuition and after you know that your child is happy and comfortable to be tutored by me.

Experience: I have helped provide tuition to 9-16 year old students for the past 5 years - both at school and at home. I work at a pace that ensures that all work, essays and answers are marked and thoroughly explained to the student.
Focus is on topics that the students find difficult, on areas that I think require extra attention and on subjects that the students` parents would like me to help with. I work closely with parents, provide regular updates and appreciate their support in encouraging students to complete their work.
