I specialize in working with home-tutored students (English and Maths) and also foreign students (young and adult). Maths for QTS test.

I love to teach. I enjoy the recognition in my students` eyes when they get it! I strive to help with what is needed. I often do extra work to prepare even if I already have an extensive library or materials I have created and obtained over the years. New situations, new needs require new approaches from me, and I cherish the challenge.

So far, I have been able to help my students from all walks of life, even if I had doubts in the beginning - we found a way.

I am a learner myself. I constantly educate myself in my field and in general.
I also have a corporate background, quite extensive, working with top management of big international companies in the past.

I have developed my English subject knowledge in many ways. I have learnt English as a foreign language. I was an enthusiast. A year before my ‘maturity exams’, at 17, I passed a state examination in English at the intermediate level which automatically meant a top grade A level in English. Later, I studied to pass the advanced state examination as well. My advantage with this background is an advanced knowledge of English grammar. I have worked in international working environments. I have studied English linguistics and literature at university level in both Hungary and England.
I had an extensive literature training in grammar school, with reading an average of twenty classics and contemporary literary works covering the history of Hungarian and international literature (English, Russian, French, German) per year. I also have a degree in English Literature.
By now, I am well acquainted with the English National Curriculum I have produced teaching materials for many of its facets.

My Maths knowledge?
I have always liked Maths! I have a C grade A level equivalent in the subject. I have been teaching it for several years now from primary to GCSE level. I get to the bottom of the not understanding and build my student`s knowledge from there. My students have gained a lot of understanding and confidence in my Maths lessons and I enjoy their grins of new realizations :) I can provide references.

Availability: I teach in my home. Thankfully, I am kept quite busy. I will try to accommodate you. Normally, I can teach in the morning and in the afternoon as well. My evenings are set aside for teaching as well. I ended up teaching on Saturdays as well; I have several lessons on that day now, too.

I have a goal-oriented approach. We look at what you want from your study, and I adapt and create my methods, materials to your needs. I am a fun, positive person in general. I try to make the learning experience fun, interesting as well.

Approach? Investigate the root of the non-comprehension and build knowledge back from there.

Experience: In my 5 years of private tutoring, I have had already 80 students, several of them long-term.
English, English as a foreign language and Maths - young and adults.


I had worked two years as a teaching assistant in class, teaching groups of 6 and also delivering one-to-one sessions working with students with learning difficulties. I am now a qualified teacher (English) with several years of teaching experience. I have taught KS3, KS4 and A level as well. Before all this, I had taught English as a foreign language privately for several years and do so now as well.

I also have experience in teaching adults, professionals. For a few years, I had corporate clients of quite big, international names, for whom I created and delivered training in several very interesting topics: effective written business communication, business etiquette and manners, dressing to impress, etc. – before moving to England.

I have been working as a private tutor for 4 years now and have had many students. I can proudly say that my track record is very good - my students usually leave with satisfaction also had and have long-time students.

Maths - I have taught this subject on many levels. I have worked with primary students, secondary students, GCSE level I even worked with adults as well. My students gain understanding and success on a regular basis. My last two GCSE students both achieved what they wanted: one from D to C and the other from C to B. :)
