Information about Abby
NO MORE AVAILABILITY- Sorry!
I gained 7A* and 4A`s at GCSE and in 2017 earned 4 A levels in Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. I am currently in my third, and final year, at the University of Brighton where I study Primary Education. Within my degree I specialise in mathematics, so study the subject for six hours a week. This has enabled me to gain a deep understanding of how children learn the subject most effectively.
In the last four years I have taught 12 students, who have all excelled in maths and make me very proud. I am lucky enough to still be teaching a few students from KS3, that have not been having lessons to pass an exam but to improve their confidence with the subject. I try to individualise each lesson to best suit the type of learner and let the student have autonomy over their learning. I also use a wide range of methods to ensure they understand why something works, rather than just rote learning a fact or sequence.
I am organised, patient and very approachable. Being a similar age to students means I can identify with them and be more understanding. I provide the first lesson for free, so you can have a feel for how I teach before committing to anything.
I am also willing to do all lessons for the reduced rate of £25 an hour over Facetime or Skype. I did this over the summer with a couple of my students and it worked well.

Abby has been tutoring my daughter in Maths for the last few months, and she has been absolutely fantastic.
Mia has struggled with her confidence in Maths, and Abbys positivity and supportive nature has really helped Mia to approach her GCSEs with a better outlook, her Mock results were significantly improved.
Thank you Abby!!

We have only had Abby for a few session so far and already my daughter has started to feel more confident with maths. Abby is very patient and excellent at explaining things.
