I am a hardworking and friendly 22 year old student studying Spanish at University College London (UCL). I am entering my fourth and final year of my degree having just returned from my year abroad in Argentina. Whilst I was there I lived in Buenos Aires for 5 months working as a marketing intern and then I worked for 6 months as a British Council language assistant teaching English in the north of Argentina in the province of Tucumán. I am dedicated, approachable and reliable and, thanks to my role as English language assistant, have been able to hone my patience skills and learn that it`s vital when working with students reach their full potential!
I do not currently have a CRB check however for my role as project leader with the ReachOut programme (a mentoring charity) I will be acquiring one in the next few weeks.
Can provide a reference if required.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have 6 months experience as a British Council English language assistant in Argentina where I taught English language to students aged 18 upwards of all different levels. Further to that, in my second year of university I tutored a 12 year old in geography and history as he was preparing for common entrance exams. I also was a mentor for the ReachOut programme (from September 2012 - March 2013) where once a week I went to Rhyl Primary School in Camden and worked with a young girl, helping her both with homework and offering pastoral support. This year I will be a project leader for this same programme which will involve me running the groups - there are usually 8 mentors paired with 8 school children who have been recommended to this programme by their school because of behavioural or academic issues or simply to help them gain confidence.Contact this Tutor
