I am a Tutor of 23 years experience of delivering the Art Curriculum in Schools, Colleges, Special Educational Needs settings and even Care Homes. I am also a Moderator with AQA examination Board, and at present I am a Course Leader of Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
I privately tutor a group of retired and semi retired adults who derive much pleasure from learning how to draw and paint. My specialisms are Drawing, Mixed Media Painting and PrintMaking, but I can teach across the board having spent two academic years teaching Architecture and Interior Design, Animation/ Illustration and Life Drawing. I have a particular gift in getting peoples Portfolio not only organised but also tailored to their University of Choice.

Experience: I have spent my career in a wide range of settings, ranging from Secondary Education right through to Sixth Form and National Diploma courses.
Teaching Art and Textiles in Y2000 in a secondary school with a sixth form college. I also taught an adult class one evening a week from 2003 right through to 2005. I ran a Junior Art school in between, on Saturdays, then moved into Further Education teaching Multi Media, Level 1, 2 and 3 Diploma courses in Art as well as taster days for school children with Special Educational Needs. This was at Reigate School of Art Design and Media, part of East Surrey College. I did some sessional teaching at NESCOTT for one year.
I was offered a Head of department post in a High School in 2007, then in 2012 (after moving to a different area altogether), I worked part time in Teddington School, within the auspices of Special Educational Needs before doing a side step into a Neurodisability Care Home to deliver an Art Program.
During my time at Teddington I rented a small studio and participated in several Art shows around the Richmond Borough, and also at the Truman Brewery (East London). I have a lot of experience in Exhibiting and curating, of which I am happy to share my knowledge and expertise.
