I currently work for myself as a business consultant with language and cultural differences in the luxury hotel sector. I also help people create start up businesses from restaurants to online shops. I am a bilingual children`s book author, run and international book club and live between England and Italy. I have had several careers, from Chief Analyst for UNICEF UK, Computer Database Developer in London, Voted 2nd Best Tutor in the UK for Medical Care after working as a part time care worker for 18 years going on to become a national manager, have fostered children with disabilities in my late twenties. I have lived and worked in Vietnam, New York, Bali, Saudi Arabia, Sicily, Vienna, Bulgaria, Germany and Portugal. I speak Italian (with a Sicilian accent!) and am learning German and Mandarin as I don`t understand English tutors who say they can`t speak / learn other languages. I love cooking, calligraphy & letter writing, languages, people watching (for socio-cultural reasons rather than stalking!), reading, astronomy, red wine production, classical music & opera, travel, chess, basketball, football (Arsenal and Madrid fan), poetry, blogging and a simple life... I also love children having fostered and worked as a coach since I was 14 years old from the poorest to the most prestigious educations in the UK.

I also set up and run an international book club in Sicily, Vienna and online with paying members. The clubs are for native and non native speakers so I teach English in the non native groups.
