Hi, I`m Ollie, a maths student at the University of Birmingham just entering my second year. Maths has always been my strongest and most enjoyed subject throughout my education. Studying at University has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the workings of mathematics allowing me to explain in better detail why the content I teach works. I love teaching maths and ensure I tailor my lessons to fit students` needs to guarantee they get the most out of every lesson they can. I actively encourage questions throughout the sessions to make sure students have a thorough understanding of anything I cover. Having studied for my A-levels recently and working in a school I have a good knowledge of what exam boards are looking for. I`ve worked with pupils of all ranges and personal needs I know how to get the most out of every student so that they achieve their potential. I have never encountered someone who cannot do maths I believe it`s simply down to hard work and the correct guidance for them to go as far as they want to go.

Availability: So far the concrete timetable has to be confirmed though it seems I will be free Tuesday - Friday past 4 pm and any time on a Wednesday and weekends. If you`d like to ask about any time during the day please contact me so we can arrange a suitable time.

Experience: I have worked as a Maths tutor for the past 2 years working in small groups and one-to-one settings. I tutored both GCSE and A-Level maths to students ranging from D - A grades making sure to adapt my lesson plans to suit their needs the best and push them towards higher grades. I also worked within the classroom setting where I focused on their key weakness to ensure they were confident in all areas of their studies.
As part of my training, I completed the School-Led Tutoring Programm which taught me not only the basics of tutoring but how to get students properly engaged with the content so they not only achieve highly but enjoy the lessons they are in.
