Connor (Tutor in Cambridge)
Information about Connor
I am in my second of three years studying for a BA in Linguistics at the University of Cambridge (King`s College). My specific interest within linguistics (the broad, scientific study of language) is second language acquisition and learning __ specifically by learners who are no longer children (and therefore face greater difficulty in language learning).
I have AP (Advanced Placement) certification in Spanish from my earlier schooling in the USA and before coming to Cambridge was a teaching assistant in a high school Spanish class, substituting for the regular instructor on multiple occasions.
While acknowledging the importance of and implementing traditional grammar, I also aim to take a modern linguistic approach to language learning focusing on relating one`s target language to one`s native language and placing an emphasis on practical usage.
