Each pupil has their own unique programme of work which builds on their strengths and weaknesses and is mapped to the Maths Curriculum. This reinforces and consolidates what they learn in school. I aim to inspire each pupil to gain confidence, enthusiasm and develop new skills. This ensures that my pupils are stretched and challenged-whether they are finding school tricky or top of the class.
I have an up to date DBS and safeguarding certificate and tutor up to GCSE level.
Availability: Mornings and afternoons up until September, then after school from September onwards.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I am a Specialist Maths teacher with a BA hons degree. I have had over 30 years experience of supporting pupils in schools and 20 years of specialising in teaching Maths, advising and training in both primary and secondary schools. I am also available to tutor for the eleven plus.

Alison is an absolutely brilliant tutor, as soon as we met her I was completely confident that she was the right fit for my daughter. My daughter is comfortable and relaxed in the sessions and asks questions that she is not confident to ask in class. Alison makes lessons relaxed, fun and also is creative in her approach to teaching, there is lots of laughter in the sessions, and learning from mistakes is encouraged and praised. Progress is being made already after only 4 sessions, cannot recommend highly enough.

Alison has been tutoring my son for 6 weeks now and he really enjoys his lessons with her. We have seen some progress already and he is learning in a fun way. I`m sure there will be even more fun learning and progress to come. I highly recommend Alison.
