Mel

I go by Mel (they/them) and I am a Glasgow-based tutor with a wealth of teaching experience in English and Creative Writing. I am currently looking for to tutor online on a weekly basis.

I have a degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol and have been teaching English for the past three years, including several months as the Assistant English Lead at an SEN independent school in London.

I have three years of experience working with young people experiencing a range of difficulties such as dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs.

I am also an experienced writer and poet and I am currently completing a young adult novel as a winner of the London Writers Award 2022.

Experience: I have roughly a year of experience tutoring English Literature and Language from Key Stage 3 to A Level in London and Bristol. I have also worked for two tutoring agencies.
