I graduated form the University of Nottingham two years ago with a First Class degree in English Literature and Language. I have three years` experience tutoring primary-school age students, and particularly enjoy teaching English and Maths. My study of English Language has lent me a thorough understanding of both phonics and whole-word approaches to learning to read, and the best approaches for learning to write. My love of children and education has also led me to take a break from further study to work as a nanny to two children (2 and 6 yrs).

Availability: Evenings and weekends

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: For three years, I assisted with underachieving English students at Northgate High School, helping improve their literacy skills and liaising with the SEN department as to what help was appropriate to improve their studies.

I have experience in one-on-one tutoring in all aspects of Key Stage 1 and 2.

Completed one-on-one mentoring with struggling students at both high school and university.

Will be working as a nanny with a two year old and four year old as of July.

My DBS check is in progress and I am happy to provide references for my work with children.
