I have a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in Neuroscience, and was previously involved in medical research at UCL (London). I subsequently took a PGCE in secondary education, and I am currently Head of Chemistry at a local independent school.

Experience: I have been involved with education at various levels for 40 years, including university lecturing and technical college training. Ten years ago, I obtained a PGCE in secondary education and since then I have been teaching KS3, GCSE and A Level Chemistry at a local independent secondary school. I became Head of Department 4 years ago.
