Hello, I have a Master’s and a Bachelor’s Degree with 1st Class Honours from the University of Cambridge after reading Natural Sciences, specialising in Astrophysics. At 35 years of age, I have a wealth of experience working as a personal tutor in London for over 14 years with many success stories, including acceptances to Oxford and Cambridge Universities as well as many other top schools and institutions.

New pupils receive a free 20-minute consultation with their parents so I can understand their needs and goals and tailor specific lesson plans to achieve them.

With me, students can catch-up with their class, master homework and revise for exams, ensuring they get the right grades and love maths and science. Friendly yet firm, I bring the highest standard of education to your home, guiding pupils towards a solid understanding by keeping classes interesting and engaging.

Dynamic, interactive lessons help students understand concepts to the point they can express them in their own words, ensuring they fully comprehend the subject and promoting confidence with a healthy, proactive atmosphere. Courses are broken down into bite-sized chunks, ideas explained in easy steps, tricky exam problems made simple and material covered in styles suiting each individual pupil. I find it so rewarding to see the joy on a student`s face when they grasp a concept!

Classes are planned to target each student’s particular needs and goals. Gaps in knowledge and understanding are identified and fixed to ensure progress at school is supported and improved. Past papers and mark schemes are dissected and scrutinised to give pupils the best chance of achieving excellent results.

I use everyday examples to demonstrate and clarify abstract theories, creating easy to remember associations for long-term memory. I grow deep understanding in core concepts and develop the basic research techniques needed to progress. I am very intuitive; adapting material and methodology to suit individual learning styles. My love of the subjects makes for fun and interactive sessions.

With younger children, I channel their natural curiosity, relating maths and science in a way that is meaningful to them. I make learning fun, helping them to discover the fundamental building blocks they need to underpin future studies.

With older students, my focus is more on exam paper technique and practice. I help them to quickly derive the correct formulae to use to solve unfamiliar problems which arise in examinations.
