Currently offering ONLINE lessons (via Teams or zoom). I`m a qualified teacher and highly experienced tutor for 18 years. I am a key stage 5 chemistry specialist, with experience teaching children from year 6 to year 13 (key stages 2-5). I cover all common exam boards science and maths, (with chemistry to A level). I`m a Registered Examiner for Edexcel and Cambridge International Examinations. Lessons are tailored to each individual student`s needs, including syllabus content and plenty of exam practice. Approachable and sensitive, and good with children even of shy disposition. DBS checked.
Prior to obtaining my teaching qualification (PGCE) I have a background in research, including a doctorate in physical chemistry followed by postdoctoral research (at Imperial college London) and several publications in international scientific journals.

Most of my students come from personal referral and recommendation, so the number of students indicated in my tutorhunt account does not represent my tuition experience.

I have experience teaching a wide range of specifications, including-

A LEVEL: I`m a Key stage 5 chemistry specialist. I teach A level chemistry all common boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, plus the Cambridge Pre-U syllabus

GCSE/IGCSE: 9-1 specifications in maths, chemistry, physics and biology, all common exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge.

KEY STAGE 3 & PRIMARY: maths, chemistry, physics and biology (National Curriculum/SATS). Entrance exam preparation for independent schools in Harrow and surrounding areas (eg MT, John Lyon`s), including Common Entrance 11+, 13+. Grammar school entrance 11 plus preparation for the South Hertfordshire Consortium schools (eg Parmiter`s and Watford Grammar),including maths, verbal reasoning & comprehension.

My background includes a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS); a DPhil in chemistry, and postdoctoral research roles as well as being a published author in several international scientific journals. I am DBS checked.
