Information about Polly
I have been teaching for twenty years across the Primary age-range (5 to 11 years). I am currently working in an independent school in Surrey as a Year 6 teacher who teaches English across Years 5 to 7. My tutoring tends to focus on English and Maths and on preparation for Senior School exams. I am SEN-trained and particularly specialise in supporting those children who are insecure in their learning or who find it difficult to adapt to a mainstream teaching environment.
Availability: Currently, I have no availability for new students but will have slots available in the next academic year (2026-2027).
My regular tutoring schedule is on selected week-day evenings, after 5pm. On weekends, I have availability in the morning and afternoon. I am also available for limited hours over the Summer.

Experience: I have experience of teaching children who struggle with English and Maths and I have had training in supporting children with dyslexia, ASD, PDA and Dyscalculia. I have also successfully prepared children for 11+ exams, including Reigate Grammar. I use a blend of online teaching resources and concrete resources to achieve the maximum learning impact for each student.
