Information about Alison
I am an ex Primary Assistant Head Teacher with experience in all primary phases. I have lead English across school for many years but also have a passion for mathematics. I have experience of the KS1 and KS2 SATS and a great knowledge of the demands of the 2014 National Curriculum.
I am very enthusiastic in my approach to learning, with a patient and creative attitude. I aim to break down any barriers that might be preventing my student from reaching their full potential. I have a wide range of teaching and learning experiences allowing me to cater, in-depth, for a wide-range of educational needs.
I believe, one-to-one tutoring can truly accelerate learning and I have witnessed first hand the positive effects it can have not only in terms of academic improvement but also in confidence and self-esteem.

Alison is a fantastic tutor. She has been working with our daughter (Y2 age) for several weeks and we have already seen a huge improvement in her work and most importantly in her confidence. Alison is so friendly, calm and patient and she really personalises the sessions to suit the specific age and needs of the child. She’s a wonderful tutor!
