Information about Ben
I am a qualified, experienced and successful teacher specialising in Physics, with additional experience teaching and tutoring Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Engineering. I have QTS, a PGCE, 9 years teaching experience, full DBS clearance and a Master`s Degree in Physics. I have taught at all levels up to and including undergraduate, in a wide range of schools and colleges, with pupils of all abilities and SEND/SEMH descri ptions, and I have been successfully tutoring for several years. I also have experience working as a Head of Department, and I have worked with The University of Manchester and Sheffield Hallam University as part of their teacher training courses, where I am responsible for mentoring and training new teachers.
My experiences have allowed me to develop an expert-level knowledge of assessment criteria and methods for all GCSE Science, A Level Physics and A Level Maths qualifications, vital in allowing students to access top grades in the newer GCSE and A Level exams. I have also developed an understanding of how to design, deliver and assess an effective sequence of lessons and tutor sessions to allow all students to succeed; this is something I have been doing and supporting colleagues with for years.
I am committed to helping all learners achieve their potential, and I have a wealth of experience and resources to make this happen. I am confident that I can provide the service that you require. Don`t be fooled into employing those who simply have a good knowledge of the subject, but poor experience or knowledge of teaching - an understanding of the way your child`s qualification is structured, assessed, and what examiners look for on exam papers, as well as the best way to help your child learn, is crucial in securing a successful examination result, and this is something I can guarantee.

Feedback For Ben (7)
Ben is an excellent teacher. He has been teaching my daughter physics for A levels online. At first I wasnt sure if the online teaching will be efficient, however Ben has devised a method that has made the online teaching systematic and student friendly. I strongly recommend Ben as he puts a lots of thought in the students needs and has a great way of sharing his extensive knowledge with the student.
Fantastic! My daughter had become much more confident, is enjoying the subject more and is really benefitting from this extra support. Ben is a tutor I would highly recommend. He sets out clear objectives and his teaching style is clear and understandable. Thank you Ben!
A very good Tutor. Not very flexible.
Tutors Response :
Thanks for the feedback.
I`m glad you found the work I did to be useful and that overall you felt me to be a very good tutor.
I`m sorry that you feel I was inflexible. I tried to explain that I can`t repeatedly change the start time of sessions at the last minute as this impacts my other students unfairly, and also that I can`t do a session unless I am paid. I hope you can find a tutor that will do this for you.
I wish you and your son the best of luck in the future.
Ben is an excellent tutor, both my sons (Year 9 and Year 11) feel they have improved since starting tuition with him. He targets the work appropriately to their level and tests them on their knowledge and understanding. Would happily recommend Ben.
Ben teaches my son physics and prepares him for A level. From the first day when my son came back home, he was in a better mood. He said Ben explained to him a lot of things and finally he knows what he has to do. The mock exam went a lot better than before and my son is very pleased of Ben`s teaching. I definitely recommend Ben.
Ben has already made my daughter feel much more confident about the subjects shes been struggling with. He obviously has a natural flair for teaching and makes the subjects much more understandable, as well as having a lovely relaxed demeanour!
Mr Ben has done an awesome job in teaching me! quantum mechanics were clearer explained by this man than any books I know.
Moving fast hits the point.
