I am a successful 48-year-old qualified teacher offering you education in French, Spanish, German, English, Science and Maths. A former Head of Department, I have 21 years experience working in a grammar school, a convent school and in a comprehensive school in London. My Illustrious career in tutoring has included teaching pupils for independent schools as well as Entrance Exams, seven-plus, eleven plus, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, and University courses. I am familiar with all exam boards and update my knowledge as a senior examiner for an examination board.
In ensuring students are provided with a tailored approach, I cover a wide range of topics and skills. I can offer a one- to- one lesson or a group lesson. Currently, I tutor pupils who are preparing for their 11 Plus, GCSE and IGCSE exams, and also adults. My pupils range from beginners to advanced students.
As for my qualifications: I have begun my PhD at the Institute of Education in London ( mentored by an inspiring researcher who conducted my PGCE interview at Canterbury Christ Church University 17 year ago:- I feel very privileged having such an intellectual connection with my PhD mentor), also have two Masters degrees (one in English literature and one in French Linguistics) with focus on Translation and Interpreting. As an experienced head of department, I am able to deliver lessons as well as assess pupils for their national qualifications.
Teaching from the basics right through intermediate to advanced grammar and conversation is available. It is also possible to help give a kick-start to your holiday preparation, help you wish revision for GCSE and A-Level courses, or brush up your language skills for work – whatever you need.
My approach to tutoring, in a nutshell, is to mix fun exercises with a detailed understanding of the fundamentals of the subject you wish to progress in.
I am available for lessons in Lee and cannot travel to the student`s home.
If you are keen on lessons online this is practical as you can do a lesson on the bus, after your lunch break, at times when attending for a face to face session is not feasible...Your progress is saved in the cloud and synced across all your devices.
I am a OFSTED registered childcare provider so you may wish to use childcare vouchers.
