I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience working with children. I love to tutor both adults and children, as I enjoy being able to make a difference to my students. Seeing the children and adults I work with grow in confidence and ability is so rewarding.
Parents -your child`s individual needs and best interests will always be my first priority and I will work together with you to support your child`s learning preferences. I believe that children need to feel good about themselves in order to learn well and helping to develop your child`s self esteem and confidence will always be a big part of my tutoring.
Adults - We will work together to plan sessions around your needs and expectations. that work for you - in line with your preferred methods of learning. Working on your confidence in the subject will be an important part of our sessions and we will share feedback regularly to ensure you are getting the best out of your learning/

Availability: I am currently studying and working part time from home, so can be flexible to your needs regarding availability. I have evening and after school availability most week days at the moment.

Experience: I am a qualified Primary teacher with a BA (hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. I have worked in the childcare and education sector for 20 years. I have experience as a primary teacher, supply teacher, childcare supervisor, nursery and preschool manager and 1:1 tutor. I also hold an NVQ Level 3 in Playwork and have experience of working with children of all ages and many different backgrounds, outside of the school environment. I have volunteered as a Beaver Scout Leader, am qualified childminder and hold certificates in child protection, speech and language support, literacy support and others. I am also a single parent of a 16 year old son who is hoping to go to medicine school!
