Primarily, I teach English to GCSE and Mathematics to Key Stage 3 - including ISEB, 11+, 13+, Common Entrance, IB, iGCSE, and others - however, for young people who require more specialised tutelage, I also teach multidisciplinary curricula (i.e. integrating other subjects such as the arts, STEM subjects, and humanities), enrichment, learning to learn, and personal development.

My methods complement The National Curriculum and independent schools’ curricula, ensuring that young people learn the fundamental skills of lifelong learning and independence and are able to achieve their maximum potential through interactive and varied activities and exercises.

With nearly a decade working as a private tutor with young people of all ages and abilities, I am an experienced and adaptable tutor, with the enthusiasm, patience, and creativity to actively work with any child to reach their potential. I have specialist experience and training to teach young people outside classrooms, to meet the needs of young people who might need a bit more support, and young people with additional needs. I am experienced with alternative learning styles, which work best for young people who have additional needs - particularly dyslexia, autism, ADHD and mental health difficulties - who are struggling with school, who are at the upper and `Gifted and Talented` tiers of their classes, or who are partly or entirely home schooled.

I aim to instil in young people passion, confidence, and curiosity for learning and knowledge.

Experience: In addition to being a tutor and governess, I am currently a member of staff at one of the country`s most prestigious independent schools. Until recently, I was the Director of my own charitable organisation, working with young people in groups, individually and in schools - where I also worked with their teachers and other professionals.

I am student-focused and able to adapt easily to students` learning styles and needs. As a writer and an academic, I am enthusiastic about the subjects I teach and want to share how interesting and engaging it can be. From analysis, comprehension, reading and creative writing in English to calculations, arithmetic and more in Maths, the National Curriculum has a lot to offer, whatever your strengths and interests.

I have nearly a decade of experience of working with students of all ages and abilities in Creative Writing and Performance Theatre up to professional level, Maths and English to GCSE (inclusive of ISEB, 11+, 13+, IB and iGCSE) as a private tutor and in other settings. I have experience working with young people at various youth services, privately and in schools. My services complement the National Curriculum, but can be adapted for any student.

I am also able to teach the International GCSE English and Maths syllabi, and have experience of tutoring those being partly or entirely home-schooled.
