I recently graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first-class undergraduate degree in English Literature and a master`s in Politics. I achieved four A`s at A-Level in English Literature, History, Biology and Sociology.

I am well-read and specialise in teaching English at all levels from primary to degree, but I have studied and can tutor in a variety of other subjects. I am friendly and personable and will strive to make my tutoring engaging for my students. I will work to help students to both deepen their understanding and to enjoy their subjects. I will tailor my tutoring sessions to the student`s needs and preferred learning techniques, through talking with parents and students about their strengths and weaknesses, methods of learning and levels of understanding.

As I have recently gone through the education system and achieved high grades, I am knowledgeable about how to pick up high marks in exams and about different learning and revision skills and techniques. I believe that education is crucial and can open so many doors, and that teaching which is tailored to the student`s needs can enable students to thrive, which is why I am passionate about tutoring.

Availability: I am flexible about availability, I can work weekends but would rather tutor on weekdays if possible, and I can tutor during the daytime or on evenings.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I worked as an English language teacher at a summer school in Spain for a month. I was solely responsible for a group of children aged 10-12 and I planned and ran the lessons and activities for each day. I designed the lessons and activities to help the children to learn and practise their English in a fun and engaging way.

I have experience working with young people, including having volunteered as a Young Leader at a Scout group. At school I tutored younger students who were struggling in English.
