My name is Adele and I am an experienced Primary School Teacher teaching children aged between 5 and 11 years old. I have experience teaching Maths, English and Science in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including SATS revision for Year 2 and Year 6.

I have a particular strength in teaching Early reading and Phonics, especially tutoring children who have missed a lot of in person phonics teaching due to COVID. Learning to read is the gateway to so much pleasure and enjoyment and I feel really passionately about helping children through the early stages of their reading journey. Through my teaching experience I am well trained in this stage of reading and different strategies that are most effective for children with different learning styles and abilities. I also have great experience preparing children for their Year 6 SATS in English Reading, Writing and SPAG.

I am also a very keen mathematician and love teaching Maths. I have experience in teaching across different Maths sets and therefore am able to adapt my teaching style and strategies to the needs of the child.

I am an enthusiastic teacher who believes any child can grow and learn from individual tutoring that is engaging, relatable, exciting and personal to them. This is why I ensure that my sessions are catered to each child’s needs, interests and abilities so that they make great progress, increase their confidence and enjoy learning.
