Hi there, I’m James. I currently work at Macclesfield Hospital after qualifying last year from Manchester Medical School. I have always enjoyed biology and chemistry, which is why I chose medicine as a career. I also enjoy cooking, playing football and skiing. I am a friendly, honest and hard-working person.

I received an A in chemistry and biology at A-level in addition an A* in design technology.

With regards to the style of teaching I employ, I aim to gauge what each individual finds the most effective method of learning. At the beginning of each session I often do a 10 minute recap of things learnt in the previous lesson. I have found this very effective in encouraging students to retain knowledge.

I have helped several students achieve excellent grades and can provide references if necessary.

Experience: Teaching is something that I have enjoyed since I was in secondary school. I started by teaching GCSE maths which I found very enjoyable.

Following this I took on two students who I tutored in biology and chemistry from iGCSE through to A2 level. This was very rewarding as I was able to see them progress and receive very good grades.

In my final two years at university until now, I tutor a handful of students who have given very positive feedback!
