I am a UK qualified teacher, teaching since 1996 in the UK as well as Finland, Qatar and Germany. I studied at the University of Brighton and obtained a BSc and Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I have 3 children whom I have supported in their education including 11+ exams and GCSEs. I was a competitive athlete in running, cycling and triathlon, competing up to World Championship level. Nowadays I run, swim and mountain bike, occasionally competing. I have an interest in classic cars and enjoy family holidays in the UK and Europe in my campervan. I go to Goodwood for motor events and to use the leisure facilities.

Availability: I tutor late afternoon, evenings and weekend and some school holidays. Preferably I travel to students` homes, although I can tutor online. I cover the Midhurst, Haslemere and Godalming areas. Additionally I tutor in Farnham, but my rates are higher due to the distance from my home.

Experience: My specialisms are Maths and Science to GCSE level (Foundation and Higher) as well as 11+/Common Entrance preparation. I have taught as either a specialist Maths or Science teacher in a variety of settings: mainstream, independent and special. My time in special education has given me considerable experience in teaching students with ADHD and ASD. I have tutored students attending several schools in the area including Midhurst Rother, Bohunt, Churcher`s, Weydon, Seaford College and Rodborough. These students have gone onto taking the courses of their choice in the 6th form provisions at their schools or elsewhere, including Godalming College. I offer weekly tutoring sessions as well as concentrated blocks of revision in the period leading up to tests/exams. I provide verbal feedback to parents after tutoring sessions or by messaging, whichever is preferred. If required, I can set homework for students to bring to their next session. I have tutored to home educated students and as a current teacher I am up to date with the National Curriculum.
