I enjoy allowing the student to have an independent approach at first to any concept and question given. I then look through where they get stuck or have any questions and look through how they processed the question. I then go through the question step by step ensuring a total understanding from the student whilst making sure they feel comfortable and confident. I will simultaneously ensure the student feels comfortable and confident with everything they are taught as well as relaxed with the learning environment.
I enjoy building good rapports with my students to enable them to feel comfortable asking questions and speak to me in general about how they find school and studying.
I ensure all homework needs are met as well as marked from my side and inform parents every session on what the student and I went through as well as any homework I expect them to complete.

Experience: I am currently working with Explore Learning as a tutor for children from ages 5-16 teaching English and Maths.
I am a Primary School teacher, where my role is to work 1-1 with SEN children and assist in teaching Year 1 lessons. I plan lessons and work on Phonics, History, Science, Maths and Art with many different classes.
I have worked with students 1-1 in GCSE English Literature, Language, French and Maths where I created the lessons and resources both online and in person.
