Hazel

I am 35 years old and have been tutoring for nine years. I hold a 2.1 BSc Honours in Psychology and have tutored children ranging from preschool to year eight. I teach Maths, English, Science and Verbal Reasoning.
I have experience in preparing children for key stage 1 and 2 SATs papers including the new spelling, punctuation and grammar tests. Over the past seven years I have prepared over thirty children for entrance exams for 11+ selective secondary schools, including several children who have been awarded academic scholarships to their chosen school. I am familiar with the CEM format used by the Reading grammar schools. I have also tutored children for the common entrance exam for year 8 entry in English and Science.
My tutoring focusses on instilling confidence in the subject through fun and inspirational learning. I am conscientious, well-organised and will endeavour to tailor each lesson to your child via a personalised lesson plan.
