I am delighted to say that some of my recent students have just been accepted (2018) into Oxford, Loughborough, Warwick and Surrey Universities.

I love Maths and teaching Maths; I believe in helping students learn for themselves, rather than "teaching" them - this is the best way to ensure exam success.

I really like to teach GCSE Maths because it is at this age that students tend to develop an affinity for the subject and because I feel I can add most value at this stage; I find this to be one of the most rewarding aspects.

I teach in a very friendly and relaxed style; I aim to give you the underlying concepts, referencing everyday scenarios whenever possible in order to express the ideas in a way that you can easily relate to. I find my business background really helps me to do this and my students tell me it makes a difference.

I am thoroughly familiar with the GCSE (9-1) Syllabi of all the major exam boards, for both Higher and Foundation students.

I hold a degree in a highly mathematical subject and an Undergraduate Diploma in Maths.

Availability: Mondays to Fridays, some availability, 4pm to 9pm (last lesson starts at 8pm)

Saturdays, some availability, (8am to 12 Noon, last lesson starts at 11am)

I visit you in your home - I am enhanced DBS verified.

Experience: I have been tutoring GCSE and A-level students for several years now; I have also tutored several 1st-year university students in the mathematical modules of their degree programmes.

I especially like tutoring GCSE students because in my experience, it is at this age that students really form an attachment to the subject and, because of the compulsory nature of GCSE maths, I feel I can add most value to students of all abilities at this level.
