Vincent

I’m Vincent, originally from Montréal, Canada and currently studying for a LLB at [contact detail removed] in London. I studied French Literature and Philosophy at McGill University before moving to London. My International Baccalaureate Extended Essay (EE) was on the hidden feminist tendencies in Zola’s monumental work, Les Rougon-Macquart. I was a research assistant during my time at McGill University and collected an extensive database of Juvenilia works by famous French Enlightenment writers and philosopher. I’m an avid reader of French literature and enjoy classics as much as contemporary works. Fun fact, I’m also a pilot!

Experience: As previously mentioned, my studies in French literature during the course of my International Baccalaureate as well as my time at McGill were very formative. While studying, I started tutoring classmates and younger students who were experiencing difficulty with various aspects of the French language. I adopt a very “bespoke” approach, evaluating first your needs/aims and then coming up with what I think is the best way to achieve them. Then, I tailor my plan of action accordingly and we set up weekly encounters (as many as you want!) during which I ask you to work hard. I may also demand some preparatory work prior to our meetings. If your goal is to drastically improve your French (or learn French from the ground up), then we are aligned. I’m all about results.
