I am Valentina, a young and enthusiastic foreign language graduate who has moved to London to pursue her dream of teaching her mothertongue in a multicultural context.
Having going through the struggle of learning languages myself, I know how much effort it requires but also how rewarding it can be, when you find yourself able to understand and communicate with people. For this reason, I always try to put myself in my students` shoes to understand their needs, make them feel comfortable and motivate them to reach their goals.
I have been specifically trained to focus on students` needs and to help them discover grammatical structures actively, starting from a text in context or audio material. My approach emphasises practice more than theory, so that the student feels more engaged in the learning process.

Experience: I have recently earned the CLTA (Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) at the International House of London. The course consisted in both methodology lessons and teaching practice with real students, supervised by experienced tutors, in which I refined my approach and learnt to deal with a class made up of students having mixed age, origins, skills etc. All the teaching practice lessons were followed by feedback sessions in which I compared my experience with tutors and peers and discussed my strong and weak points.
