Information about Lisa
I am a fully qualified teacher with a BA Hons in English with Education (QTS). I have an up to date DBS check and plenty of positive feedback. I led a mathematics improvement project in a primary school which resulted in successful impact on SATs results and student confidence across the whole school.
I enjoy teaching children and my motto is `Keeping It Fun!` I tutor several children as well as teaching small groups and can provide references from any of those parents who I work with.
Availability: Flexible to suit your child`s needs during term time and holiday periods! Happy to provide short term boosters or long term support.

Experience: I have over twenty years of teaching experience in local primary schools including running intervention groups and tutoring one to one in preparation for SATs, 11+ and GCSE English. I specialise in English and Maths for children aged 3-14yrs including SEN and Gifted and Talented children.
I teach most primary subjects (I led Maths, Science and Music in school) as well as several secondary school children whom need support with Maths and English, including GCSE English. All children that I tutor show great improvement and confidence after only a few sessions, many soon move from behind age related expectations to exceeding!

Lisa is a great tutor, we have used her to work with groups of children from year 1 up to year 6. Lisa creates exciting and engaging lessons every time and the feedback from the children is brilliant. They feel they are learning and can see their progress, they look forward to the lessons and talk to their parents about them positively. We will continue to use Lisa as she is very professional but also approachable, sets clear expectations but is also adaptable to the children`s needs. We wouldn`t hesitate to recommend Lisa to anyone who is looking for a tutor in Maths or English.

Lisa you have been a godsend for my son, you have responded very quickly to any messages or questions that I have, you have turned up to all our appointments and are always on time, my son enjoys his sessions with you and finds them fun as well as helpful towards his learning, he looks forward to you coming, Lisa has also helped me out to make me feel confident that he is on track with his learning, you are very polite and helpful and I definitely would recommend you to anyone that asks.
