I am bilingual in English/French and a graduate of French/Education from Roehampton University. I tutor French(KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE), English (KS1-KS3) and Maths(KS1-KS3) and Maths GCSE foundation only. I tutor English and French to all levels from primary right through to adult learners.I know that learning a language at a late age without previous knowledge whatsoever is no easy task as I have myself been learning Italian and Spanish during and after my degree, so I can empathise with adult learners and I plan my lessons in order that students maximise their learning with my help. I also know that the hardest skill to master is the speaking skill where I shall make learners practice so that they become confident in speaking French.
I am patient, organised, caring and above all dedicated to make my tutees progress and improve in their learning journey.
I assess all my tutees in the first lesson to establish their strength and also areas where they need help most. I then prepare material which allows to reinforce their knowledge and understanding in learning a difficult topic. I gradually strengthen their knowledge by giving them questions so that they have lots of practice and hence improve. Nearer the exam I make tutees practice past exam papers so that they are confident sitting for their exam.
I also have experience in tutoring children sitting for their eleven plus exam. I also use selective eligibility test papers to prepare tutees. I prepare students for Wallington County Grammar, Sutton Grammar, Reigate Grammar, Dunnotar School
I prepare tutees for any Grammar school of your choice.
I have tutored SEN students with autism, Dyslexia and ADHD.
Finally, I shall tailor the lessons to the students needs and level so that there is increased confidence, gradual progress and eventually improvement.
I also tutor adult learner sitting for the A1, B1, B2,C1 and C2 for the visa for settlement or citizenship.
Cancellation: If you give at least 24 hours’ notice I will attempt to rearrange the lesson at a mutually convenient time. If less than 24 hours’ notice is given the cancelled lesson must be paid for.
I tutor at my home and I can travel up to 8 miles.
