Hello,

My name is Jameelah and I`m currently a final year BSc Mathematics student at a top Russell Group University in London. I have previous experience in tutoring at GCSE and A-Level in Mathematics in person, and I`m now making the adjustment to online learning. With my hard work ethic, I achieved an A* at GCSE Maths and an A at A-Level. I am willing to help students understand the why and how in Maths which will enable them to reach their full potential. Maths can be portrayed simply as a set of building blocks. To understand the challenging questions, the understanding of the foundations need to be strong. I am here to solidify the foundations and to help you achieve your goal.

Availability: All days of the week apart from Saturdays.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Before each session, I ask the student to let me know which topic they are struggling with and would like to go over. My preparation will be based on the exam board`s syllabus, as this gives a foundation on what a student should be confident doing. The lessons will include a variety of sample questions and also past paper exam questions to give the student a feel of what standard they should be at. My working style is to enable students to understand the why and how behind content so that they have the ability to answer questions independently. I will engage constantly with the student to strengthen their understanding and to adapt my teaching to their level of learning. My main goals are to give the student confidence and independence in learning Maths so that they are able to complete the work to the highest of standards.
