Information about Taylor

I am a [contact detail removed] medical student with a passion for unlocking students inner potential and most importantly making education fun. As a current student, I believe individuals find it much easier to understand content when it’s taught by people of a similar age who have recent experience of their current level of education and consequently engage greater in lessons, improving outcomes. I aim to ensure that my lessons are interactive and involve a combination of visual, written, and spoken learning to assess how each individual student learns best. As a high achiever, I have first hand experience of the stress and pressure that students of all ages place on themselves and consequently, I aim to improve confidence and exam technique through discussion and regular mock examinations to mitigate this. Finally, as a student that’s currently on summer I have wide flexibility ensuring that lessons are at the frequency you desire and fall at a convenient time to prevent interference with pre-existing commitments.

Availability: As a student a have a high level of availability every day of the week

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I first began teaching at the age of 11, with a focus on gymnastics as this is a huge passion of mine and I wanted to inspire children to reach their full potential. By 16 I was a qualified gymnastics coaching creating lesson plans each week enabling my students to develop both physically and psychosocially but was ready for another challenge. Following the lockdown, I began GCSE maths and medical admission tutoring via zoom to share my recent experiences and enable individuals in high pressure environments to thrive. So far, a great number of my medical admission students have written back to tell me their success which I am delighted by. Currently, I am continuing to engage in medical admission tutoring and now A level Biology tutoring which I look forward to each each week but I am interested in using my additional time to help more students unlock their potential, achieving their goals.

Great tutor. Especially with my very unhelpful 12 year old who mostly grunts 🤦;‍;♀;️;
