An experienced and energetic freelance artist & educator passionate about the arts and creative approaches to learning with children and young people.

A dedicated practitioner and advocate of the arts, culture and education whose interdisciplinary practice encompasses drawing painting printmaking photography writing and moving image with an emphasis on collaboration, skills sharing and exchange.

From my work in schools, colleges and various arts spaces across the North I have become a strong believer in the centrality of the creative arts to catalyse imagination, wellbeing and social cohesion and their capacity to support personal development, self-determination and identity.

I am looking for new opportunities to share my skills and knowledge and to inspire children and young people to achieve their full potential through engagement in the creative arts.

Availability: Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays any time and flexible Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I studied BA Painting and Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art (2004 - 2005), BA Fine Art at The University of Cumbria (2005 - 2008) and am currently undertaking my Masters in Art and Science at Central St Martins College of Art and Design (2014 - 2016). I have 12 G.C.S.Es (A* - B), `A` Level English language and Literature (A), `A` Level Photography (A) and `A` Level Fine Art (A). I was awarded a Distinction for Foundation Diploma Studies in Art and Design (2001 - 2001).

I have worked as a freelance artist, writer, editor and curator since 2008 and have extensive experience in the arts sector.
