With over 20 years teaching experience I have always been committed to creating a productive, supportive, professional working environment. Within the work-space via appropriate activities and dialogue I am able to stimulate and motivate students. My aim has been to create a learning environment:
• where teaching and learning is interactive, innovative and enjoyable.
• where all students achieve their potential and gain appropriate accreditation irrespective of age and ability.
• that develops initiative and independent learning and creates a desire to learn.
• that is built on positive relationships.
• that equips pupils to develop the necessary skills and knowledge.

My home tutoring sessions are usually an hour long and include the following:
• Initial assessment of student’s aptitude within the subject.
• Coverage of knowledge, understanding and application.
• Regular assessment, progress check and feedback.
• Development of revision and exam technique.

I also offer mentoring sessions that include revision planning, generic revision and exam technique, coping with exam stress and relaxation methods.

Availability: I am available most weekdays from 4pm onward and Saturday all day.
Weekday daytime tuition also available(limited days).
I am teaching throughout summer holiday 2015 and am currently taking bookings.

Experience: 20 years teaching experience as a secondary school teacher that includes:
• A2 and AS level physics - post 16.
• Biology, chemistry, maths and physics –KS3 and KS4 leading to GCSE.

I have been an Examiner for AQA.

I have provided home tuition since 1995 but this is the first time I have advertised (my clients have always been via recommendation). I am currently not teaching full time and therefore have capacity to take on new students.
