Information about Eloise
Hello! I have recently graduated with a BSc form a top UK university in biology, and I am now completing a research masters in molecular biology at Imperial. I believe anyone can find a passion in science with the right mindset and great teacher, and that learning can even be fun!
Science is so integral to us today, and throughout the world we can see many examples of how important biology can be. Discussing the background behind a subject and learning from examples is a great way to engage students rather than simply reciting facts. In my lessons I use a combination of syllabus material as well as real life examples and video links to engage my students.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I achieved an A in all 3 science subjects at GCSE as well as an A* in maths and have an A and B in A-level biology and maths, respectively. I have recently attained a 1st in biology at university, with a specialisation in molecular biology, in which I am now completing a research masters placement. Therefore, I am well versed in all areas of science at GCSE level and biology at A level.
The past 3 months I have begun tutoring my 15-year-old sister who has SEN, in both maths and biology GCSE and found a passion for teaching and hope to help more students in my free time. I believe I bring a level of sensitivity to teaching through this experience but will also push to engage students to achieve their best.
