Information about Ami

"Ami brings energy and fun to learning and we are very glad to have her as Penny’s tutor. I would thoroughly recommend her to anyone who is considering a tutor for their child." -Client testimony

I have worked as a private tutor for over 6 years, and have more than 1350 hours of teaching experience. My usual rate is £50/hr, but as I am new to using the Tutor Hunt platform I am currently offering the highly discounted rate of £15/hr!

I am highly adaptable and can meet a wide range of needs. Most of my demand is for Maths and English tuition, but I have experience in a wide range of subjects, including History and beginner`s Japanese. Whatever your child`s needs, I will strive to meet their individual requirements.

My previous successes include:
- I was hired to homeschool a boy training full-time to become a professional badminton player. I was in sole charge of his IGCSE Maths education, and he ultimately scored A*.
- A pair of 4-year-old twins transitioning from a Russian school system to the UK system needed to catch up in order to gain entry into Year 1. They began with little to no knowledge of the English alphabet. Over the course of 5 weeks in the summer, I taught them to read from the very basics, and in a very short space of time they were able to write and read 3 and 4-letter words.
- With my support, past students have successfully gained entry to prestigious institutions such as Dulwich, Harrow, Badminton School and Haileybury.

My work has taken me all over the world - I have tutored clients in Moscow, Antibes, Milan, Forte dei Marmi, the Cotswolds and even aboard a private yacht in the Mediterranean.

I studied English at the University of Cambridge, where I received the William Barcroft Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Prior to that, I scored 43 out of 45 in the IB, and was awarded "Best in Year" for English in my final two years and "Best in Year" for History in my final year.
