Information about Daniel

Hi, my name is Daniel and I`m a Physics, Maths and Science tutor.

I`ve garnered considerable positive feedback for my warm teaching style - I`m friendly and enjoy what I do. This has gone down well with my students. My academic research and teaching background provides my students access to an educational perspective with a very unusual breadth of scope: I teach little ones times tables and how to add up fractions, rooms of KS3 pupils practical science and critical thinking, prepare stressed KS4 pupils for their GCSEs and motivated sixth-form students for A-Levels and university entrance assessments.

I teach:

Physics up to and including postgraduate-level courses (KS3, GCSE, A-Level and above). See below on degree and PG topics for which I provide support.
KS3, GCSE and A-Level Mathematics (also can teach/support undergraduate maths in science & engineering).
KS3 & GCSE Science (Combined, triple or single).

I provide specific support with:

Helping students with borderline grades obtain secure passes in maths and science.
Helping Dyslexic, SEN and Neurodiverse students.
Supporting students in obtaining top grades (8+/A+) for college and university offers, including subject specific preparation for STEP/PAT, GAMSAT and other entrance examinations.
Addressing issues with maths anxiety and learned helplessness in maths.
Working with home-schooled, and other students with a non-standard educational background.
Undergraduate study skills and help with subject/exam preparation. Please note that I don`t provide "past paper solutions".
Final year and postgraduate research project support.

Availability: I teach in one or two hour blocks and will travel to you, meet you in a mutually convenient location or run the lesson remotely using software of your choice.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate.

I am a qualified teacher and hold Qualified Teacher Status and PGCE as a Physics specialist.

I`ve had experience teaching KS3-5 in maths and science, including A-Level Physics, Maths and Further Maths.

I`ve taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physics, supervised several final year and Masters project students.
