My ambition has always been to teach, largely due to the inspiration and role models my own tutors and teachers provided throughout my time in education. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and love passing on my knowledge to others. In order to do so effectively, I am able to adjust my teaching style depending on the students needs and capabilities, but most importantly in a manner which is empowering and encouraging to help build their confidence as well as their knowledge. I pride myself in my dedication to my students and my likeable and friendly nature, which helps me empathise with students to tailor each session effectively.

Experience: I have worked for 4 years as a teacher at an independent college, serving pupils ages 13-19 years. I have played a key role in the Science department in teaching GCSE`s and A-Level Biology, coordinating the syllabus, planning and organising as well as delivering lessons. During my time the college I underwent rigorous training on the Common Practical Assessment Criteria and so have great knowledge and advise for students undergoing laboratory sessions for the Science subjects.

I have also carried out weekend tutoring for the past 5 years. This has provided me with additional hands on experience with various exam boards such as AQA, OCR, CIE and Edexcel.
