I’m a fully-qualified primary school teacher, and maths graduate, with over 10 years’ full-time teaching experience in the classroom.

I’ve taught across Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6) in state and ISI `Excellent` independent schools and I’ve also worked as a national curriculum SATs examiner (Maths and English) since 2017.

After stepping away from a successful career in teaching, I now work as a self-employed tutor from my home in West Moors, Dorset.

I specialise in 11+ tuition and work with pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6 who are preparing for the grammar school entrance exams. My goal is to help as many children as possible ace their tests by developing their subject knowledge and exam technique, and giving them the confidence to succeed!

For the 2021-22 academic year, I can confirm that 14 of my pupils - who were all tutored online - passed the 11+ test and met the required standard for entry into grammar school.

I have extensive knowledge of the 11+ system and offer full support and guidance to my pupils along every step of the way.

I bring heaps of energy, enthusiasm and fun to my lessons, whilst ensuring that pupils are challenged to reach their full potential. Regular lessons will also have a significant impact on pupils` progress in school.

All lessons are prepared in advance and I use a combination of my own resources, published material and carefully selected online games and activities.

For pupils who live outside of the grammar school catchment area, who need specialist support in one subject or who speak English as an additional language, I can provide a highly tailored programme to meet specific requirements.

I also offer 11+ mock tests, an 11+ homework service and 11+ exam technique workshops.

Availability: During term-time, I am available on weekdays after school and evenings.
