I have a BA in Linguistics from University of Manchester. I am friendly and enthusiastic: I absolutely love helping people communicate and take great pleasure in creatively inspiring language learning and analysis. I believe that everyone can find their own special connection to language use and use that to find success in learning.

I have always been the one to help out struggling friends and family- both native and foreign speakers. I am a grammar nerd, so I am always called upon to proof university and school essays personal statements and articles for friends who work in media and the arts.

Learning is a very personal experience and not everyone learns in the same way, so sessions will be tailored to the specific needs of each student. Whether you are looking for help with coursework, exams or general improvement in your subject area, we can establish personal goals and work towards those.

I will offer tips and tricks to learning success and fun and interesting learning activities, using materials that are relatable to the your own interests.

It will be useful to arrange consultation a few days prior to the session, so I am able to prepare.

Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Experience: I did a work experience placement as a Teaching Assistant in a German Primary School, during which I planned out and delivered English lessons.

As an A Level student, I tutored students who were studying for German and English GCSEs.

Additionally, I took university modules in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). As part of these these modules I learnt how to identify learner needs, design learning activities and plan and deliver language lessons.

I have lots of experience babysitting primary age children, including help with homework. I am commencing a position as a lunchtime supervisor in a primary school this month.
