I am an experienced and dedicated primary educator with around 20 years of teaching and school-based experience in the UK and internationally. I have done PGCE in Primary Education . I also hold a Master’s in Education, giving me a strong academic and professional foundation in teaching and learning.
Throughout my career, I have always worked with children and have a genuine passion for helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. I have experience teaching and supporting primary-aged children across different year groups, including English, mathematics, reading and wider curriculum subjects. I particularly enjoy helping children prepare for important academic milestones such as 11+ examinations, where building strong foundations, exam skills and confidence can make a real difference.
As an online tutor, I aim to make lessons engaging, encouraging and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I use clear explanations, questioning, modelling and carefully structured activities to help children understand challenging concepts and make progress.
I am friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe children learn best when they feel confident and supported. Outside teaching, I enjoy reading, photography and travelling.

My experience has given me a strong understanding of the needs of primary-aged children, including how to build their knowledge, develop their exam skills and prepare them for important academic milestones such as the 11+ examinations.
I also have personal experience of 11+ preparation, having tutored both of my own sons, who successfully passed their 11+ examinations and gained places at grammar schools. This has given me a valuable understanding of the preparation, commitment and support children need during this important stage.
As an online tutor, I aim to make lessons engaging, structured and enjoyable, while tailoring teaching to each child`s individual strengths and areas for development. I am multilingual and can speak, understand and write in five languages, which helps me communicate effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
I am patient, approachable and passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
