I am a fully qualified A Level Psychology teacher, examiner, and Lead Psychology Teacher for my borough.

I hold a BSc in Psychology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Social Sciences. With over 14 years of experience teaching Psychology and Sociology, I have held positions including Head of Psychology, Head of year 12 & year 13 and currently serve as Deputy Head of Sixth Form.

Alongside my teaching role, I have been an examiner for AQA A Level Psychology for the past five years. This has provided me with an in-depth understanding of examination requirements, assessment criteria, and what students need to achieve the highest grades, particularly those aiming for A and A* outcomes. My extensive examining experience enables me to provide targeted guidance that helps students maximise their performance and meet the demands of the AQA specification. Furthermore, I led the curriculum planning and development for both Year 12 and Year 13 under the new specification, creating a rigorous and engaging programme that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and exam techniques required for success.

In addition, I have significant experience in pastoral leadership and post-18 progression. I lead programmes supporting early applicants to Oxford and Cambridge, as well as Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science courses. Through this role, I have developed considerable expertise in advising students on competitive university applications and providing detailed feedback on personal statements, particularly for Oxbridge applicants.

I also offer tutoring at undergraduate level. Many of my degree-level students seek support with developing their understanding of key topic areas, interpreting and analysing essay questions, structuring academically rigorous essays, and proofreading assignments.

Having tutored students for over 10 years, both online and in person, I have extensive experience working with learners of varying abilities and helping them achieve their academic goals. My approach is tailored to the individual needs of each student, ensuring they develop both confidence and subject expertise.
